Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Giraffe Manor
On your first day, you will arrive in Nairobi and transfer to the iconic Giraffe Manor, a luxurious boutique hotel with a rich history dating back to the 1930s. The manor’s elegant interior and beautifully manicured gardens transport you back to the golden age of East African safaris. One of the highlights of staying here is the chance to interact with resident giraffes, who often poke their heads into the manor during meals, offering a unique experience. Dinner is included, and you will spend the night at Giraffe Manor.

Days 2-4: Loisaba Conservancy
After breakfast, you will transfer to Wilson Airport for a flight to the Laikipia Plateau, where you will check in at Loisaba Tented Lodge. Perched on the edge of an escarpment, this luxury lodge offers stunning, uninterrupted views across Laikipia’s vast landscape, all the way to Mount Kenya. The lodge features a tranquil wooden deck and a picturesque infinity pool, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation between safaris.

During your stay, you will explore Laikipia through private game drives, guided by a professional photographer. The drives will allow you to capture the incredible wildlife up close, with special equipment available to help stabilize your camera and lenses. This private conservancy permits off-road driving, giving you the opportunity to get closer to the wildlife, including rhinos, big cats, and other animals. Each day, the drives will be timed to maximize the best light for photography, focusing on early mornings and late afternoons when animals are most active. Meals are provided throughout your stay, and you will spend three nights at Loisaba Tented Lodge.

Days 5-7: Masai Mara Game Reserve
On the fifth day, you will check out of Loisaba and fly to the world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp, located along the Saparingo River near the Oloololo Escarpment. This camp blends contemporary safari elegance with traditional Kenyan hospitality and offers incredible views of the sweeping Masai Mara plains, where the Great Migration takes place.

Over the next three days, you will embark on game drives to witness the abundance of wildlife the Masai Mara is known for. If your trip coincides with the Great Migration, you will have the rare opportunity to see wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles in their millions as they traverse the plains, while predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards hunt amidst the chaos. The drives will focus on providing an authentic and immersive wildlife experience, with each meal included. Your stay at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp will last for three nights.

Day 8: Departure – Nairobi
On your final day, you will enjoy an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast at the camp. Afterward, you will transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Depending on your schedule, you can opt for a dayroom or meals before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your conservation expedition.
