Day 1: Arrival Nairobi, Transfer to Samburu

You will be picked up from your hotel or airport and depart on a scenic drive across the Equator via the central Kenya highlands to the dramatic semi-arid scrubland of the Northern Frontier, comprising Buffalo Springs, Shaba, and Samburu game reserves. Arrive in time for check-in, lunch, and some rest. Later, you will depart for afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.

Day 2: Full Day – Samburu National Reserve

Today is dedicated to enjoying the unique beauty of the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. The reserve is home to unique species only found north of the equator, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebras, Beisa oryxes, giraffe-necked gazelle (gerenuk), and the blue-necked Somali ostrich. It also hosts the big five: elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and endangered wild dog. After exploring the park, visit a Samburu village. Dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park

Rise early for breakfast, then proceed for a morning game drive as you leave for Lake Nakuru National Park, with a stopover to view the scenic Thompson Falls. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for check-in, lunch, and some rest. Later, proceed for afternoon game drives to see black and white rhinoceroses, buffalos, lions, leopards, flamingos, pelicans, baboon monkeys, impalas, gazelles, and various bird species. If time permits, visit the baboon viewpoint cliff. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy breakfast, then check out and depart for Maasai Mara, arriving in time for check-in, lunch, and some rest. Later, you will depart for afternoon game drives through the savanna grassland in search of the great African wild animals for up-close encounters. Transverse the reserve until late evening to witness the sunset. Return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy early morning breakfast, then leave for a full-day game drive in search of the big five, with packed lunches to enable extensive exploration of the reserve. Some of the animals you may see include lions, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas, and antelopes. Break for picnic lunches near the Mara River and continue building your African safari tour memories with up-close encounters. After exploring the park, visit a Maasai village. An optional hot-air balloon ride is available, starting at 06:00 am and ending with a champagne breakfast on the plains, offering an exhilarating experience! Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Day 6: Depart, Transfer to Nairobi

Early in the morning, enjoy a game drive in Maasai Mara, then return to the camp or lodge for a full breakfast. Afterward, check out and drive back to Nairobi, with a stopover for lunch at Narok town, arriving in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport.
