12 Day Savannah and Primates Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Stay at House of Waine

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your safari adventure begins as you’re whisked away by your private guide to House of Waine. Nestled on 2.5 acres of lush land in Karen, this luxurious 11-room boutique hotel beautifully combines modern African charm with the warmth of Kenyan hospitality. Its central location offers easy access to Nairobi’s must-see attractions, including the Karen Blixen Museum, Kazuri Beads, Giraffe Centre, and David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

At House of Waine, unwind in your elegantly decorated suite, equipped with a marble bathroom, satellite TV, and personal mini-bar. With stunning surroundings and vibrant flowers delivered to your room daily, this serene hideaway is the perfect introduction to your Kenyan journey.

Days 2-4: Amboseli National Park – Stay at Tortilis Camp

After breakfast, fly from Wilson Airport to the stunning Amboseli National Park. Your home for the next three nights is Tortilis Camp, a luxurious retreat set in a private concession area. Famous for its breathtaking views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers unrivaled elephant sightings, as well as opportunities to see lions, zebras, wildebeests, and more.

Tortilis Camp offers spacious tents with private verandas and en-suite bathrooms. The family-friendly atmosphere includes a Family Tent and a Private House for small groups. Each accommodation offers stunning mountain views, perfect for soaking in the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Days 5-7: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Stay at Main Governors’ Camp

Fly to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier wildlife destination. For three days, immerse yourself in the extraordinary world of the Big Five—elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and buffalo—as well as a host of other wildlife including zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. Your stay at the renowned Governors’ Camp offers access to prime wildlife viewing, especially during the great migration when millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River.

Governors’ Camp, situated along the Mara River, offers comfortable, permanent tented accommodations in one of the best wildlife viewing spots in the reserve. Morning and afternoon game drives will ensure you don’t miss any of the action. Optional hot-air balloon safaris provide a magical sunrise view of the Mara, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.

Day 8: Transfer to Uganda – Stay at Gorilla Forest Camp

After breakfast, board a flight to Entebbe, followed by a short flight to Bwindi, Uganda. Your destination is Gorilla Forest Camp, nestled deep within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Take the afternoon to relax and enjoy the incredible surroundings.

Days 9-11: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Africa’s most important ecosystems. Home to over 300 mountain gorillas, it offers an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. Venture into the dense forest to encounter these magnificent creatures up close. Bwindi’s lush foliage and diverse birdlife create a truly magical atmosphere.

Your stay at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp offers a comfortable, intimate retreat amidst the rainforest. Each tent includes a queen-sized bed and a private bath with views of the forest. Enjoy meals al fresco, or relax with a drink at the camp’s bar. Various nature walks and community visits are available to further enrich your experience.

Day 12: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. Depending on your flight time, a dayroom can be arranged before your international departure.
